China's tense links with the Vatican

It was one of the Pope's dearest wishes to reach out to China's Catholics, and one he never achieved.

It was said that the Vatican is about to cut off the relationship with Taiwan and re-establish relationship with China, in spite that Taiwan's president, Chen Shui-bian, appeared on the Pope's funeral.

However, all facts link to one thing: So many hurdles to come over for the Vatican and China to join together.
