China's quandary over Japan's UN bid

China has been in a situation of dilemma these days: On one hand, they need to cool down the rising anger, which is triggered by Japan's approval of new history textbook, of its people; on the other hand, it has to deal with the United Nation and Japan, the latter is the No. 1 trading partner of China.

So, what shall China do?

These roots trace back a long time, certainly back to World War II. I believe Korea and China are angry over Japan's portrayl of World War II in its historic textbooks. There's no question, China is in a tight spot.
